The battle for New York was lifelike with the prominent 3D effects adding a lot of realism. The Boblovs created an experience akin to actually being amidst the action. Marvel’s “The Avengers” looked splendid on the big-screen in 3D. Even during scenes of less action, 3D effects added depth and fostered an immersive environment. Similarly, “Captain America: The First Avenger” really popped on-screen. The 144Hz refresh rate maintained a smooth image throughout the entire film. Watching on my Xgimi Halo projector, I saw no evidence of crosstalk or ghosting. I fired up the 2011 Kenneth Brannagh-directed “Thor.” There was a lot of depth to the film, and noticeably more than the 2D version.
